What You Need:

Let’s Make Biscuits & Gravy:

  1. The first step is to make the Easy Gluten Free Drop Biscuits
  2. When the biscuits are in the oven, we can start making the sausage gravy. This begins by browning the breakfast sausage in a skillet over medium heat.
  3. After the sausage is nicely browned and mostly cooked through, you will add in the half & half. Bring the liquid to a boil and then reduce to a simmer.
  4. The half & half will begin to thicken, stir in the salt, pepper, sage and pepper flakes (if using)
  5. Once the mixture has thickened to a gravy consistency, turn off the burner and remove from heat.
  6. Serve the sausage gravy over the drop biscuits – top with more fresh cracked pepper and enjoy!

These are best enjoyed the same the same day once smothered in the gravy. If you are making ahead, store the biscuits and the gravy separately and then warm before serving. The gravy may be quite thick the next day, you can add a little more half & half as it warms to thin it back out. Only do about 1 Tbls at a time.
