Ingredients

  • 1 lb Breakfast Sausage
  • 2 cups Half & Half
  • 1/2 tsp Fresh Sage
  • 1/4 tsp Salt
  • 1/8 tsp Fresh Cracked Black Pepper
  • 1/8 tsp Pepper Flakes

Instructions

  • The first step is to make the Easy Gluten Free Drop Biscuits
  • When the biscuits are in the oven, we can start making the sausage gravy. This begins by browning the breakfast sausage in a skillet over medium heat
    After the sausage is nicely browned and mostly cooked through, you will add in the half & half. Bring the liquid to a boil and then reduce to a simmer
    The half & half will begin to thicken, stir in the salt, pepper, sage and pepper flakes (if using) Once the mixture has thickened to a gravy consistency, turn off the burner and remove from heat
  • Serve the sausage gravy over the drop biscuits - top with more fresh cracked pepper and enjoy!
