I recently started ordering my meat from Butcher Box (not sponsored) and I make sure to order the sirloin beef tips every single time. They are so tender and full of flavor! I love steak and eggs for breakfast, so I came up with a simple hash using these beef tips that is easy to make but packed with flavor. You can also use sirloin steak cut up into bite sized pieces.
Tips for this Recipe:
- Don’t be afraid to cook the steak in a hot pan. It gives more flavor and caramelization on the outside of the meat
- Cut the potatoes in small enough cubes so they get crispy on the outside but are still tender in the middle
- Add a runny egg over the top to make a kind of sauce
The sautéed onions and peppers add so much flavor and a hint of sweetness. I love them combined with the steak and potatoes. The seasoning also has a hint of spice which goes nicely with the rest of the ingredients. If you wanted to keep this low carb, you sub cauliflower florets for the potatoes.
- Garlic Powder
- Cayenne (omit if you do not want any heat)
I love to make a double batch of the recipe so that my husband and I have breakfast ready throughout the week. I just store it in an airtight container in the fridge for a quick and easy meal!
