Healthy Southwestern Coleslaw

Creamy, crunchy and spiced up, this Southwestern Coleslaw will be your new favorite side dish. It is so easy to throw together but it is absolutely loaded with flavor! Serve it with your favorite protein for a delicious meal that everyone will love.

What You Need:
- Bag of Coleslaw Mix
- Mayo – I love Tessemaes or Primal Kitchen to keep it Whole30 compliant
- Cilantro
- Limes
- Red Onion
- Hot Sauce – Frank’s Red Hot is a Whole30 compliant hot sauce
- Jalapeno
- Honey – optional (not Whole30 compliant)
- Salt & Pepper

Let’s Make Southwestern Coleslaw:
- In a large bowl add the mayo, hot sauce, lime juice and salt and pepper (and honey if using)
- Mix together with a whisk. Then add in the remaining ingredients and toss together with the dressing
- Let sit in the fridge for at least 30 minutes and then taste for salt and pepper before serving

Ingredients
- 16 oz Bag of Coleslaw Mix
- 1/2 cup Cilantro chopped
- 1/4 cup Red Onion diced
- 1 Jalapeno seeded & diced
- 1 cup Mayo
- 1 tsp Hot Sauce
- 2 Tbls Lime Juice about 2 small limes
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/4 tsp Pepper
- 2 Tbls Honey* optional
Instructions

Notes
*the honey adds sweetness to the coleslaw but is not Whole30 compliant or low carb – the coleslaw is absolutely delicious both ways – you can also use your favorite sugar free sweetener to keep this low carb

So good and such a nice flavor change from regular slaw! Made this for a whole30 dinner so we skipped the honey, and used onion powder instead of red onion. Hubby asked for seconds! ❤
