Why You Will Love This Recipe

This recipe truly requires minimal effort for such a big flavor payout. The salmon cooks to flakey perfection in the air fryer and the spices, hot honey and splash of citrus is an epic combination. We enjoyed these salmon bites in a rice bowl with fresh veggies and sriracha mayo on top but they would be so good as tacos too.

Ingredients

  • Fresh Salmon
  • Spice Mixture
    • Paprika
    • Salt
    • Pepper
    • Garlic Powder
  • Avocado Oil – I like to use avocado oil when cooking at higher temperatures, but you can use your preferred oil
  • Hot Honey – I use store bought to keep this simple, it can be found in most stores but you can also make your own by combining honey with crushed red pepper flakes
  • Lemon Juice

Recipe Notes

  • Be sure to use a nice sharp knife to remove the skin and then cut the salmon into cubes
  • I use my favorite Air Fryer from Walmart, it is pretty and functional
  • Internal temp for cooked salmon should be 145 degrees F
  • Our family enjoyed these bites in a bowl loaded with fresh veggies, drizzled with extra hot honey and some sriracha mayo – it was so yummy! These would also be so good in a taco or served alongside your favorite side dish

I made this but overlooked the part about adding the hot honey and lemon AFTER cooking but it still tasted fantastic and, fortunately, didn’t burn! I don’t have an airfryer so I just baked in the oven. Leftovers the next day were still really good!
