    What You Need:

    • Salmon Filets - I get Wild Caught from ButcherBox
    • Spice Mixture
      • Salt
      • Pepper
      • Garlic Powder
      • Paprika
      • Chili Powder
    • Avocado Oil
    • Lemon
Cooked air fryer blackened salmon in an air fryer basket

    Let's Cook Blackened Salmon:

    1. Make the spice mixture by adding all the spices into a small bowl and mixing to combine
    2. Preheat air fryer to 390'F
    3. Pat the salmon dry with a paper towel and season liberally with the spice mixture
    4. Spray the air fryer basket with avocado oil and place the salmon skin side down. Spray the top of the salmon lightly as well
    5. Cook for 8 minutes and check for doneness - you don't want dry salmon. Internal temp should be 145'F and should be able to flake easily with a fork
    6. Cooking time may take up to 10-12 minutes depending on the size of the filet
    7. Once the salmon is done, remove from the air fryer basket so it won't continue to cook. Squeeze lemon over top and enjoy!

This was excellent! Great combination of spices. I cooked a medium slice of salmon filet and cut in in half length wise for two. It only cooked for about 9-10 minutes in the airfryer. It was perfect.
