Equipment

Ingredients

  • 4 fillets Frozen Tilapia
  • 1.5 tsp Salt
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • 1 tsp Cumin
  • 1/2 tsp Chipotle Powder
  • 1/4 tsp Cayenne
  • Avocado Oil Spray
  • 3 cup Coleslaw Mix
  • 3/4 cup Plain Greek Yogurt**
  • 1/2 tsp Salt
  • 2 Tbls Lime Juice
  • 8 Low Carb Tortillas or tortillas of choice

Instructions

  • Mix the tilapia seasonings together (salt, garlic powder, cumin, chipotle powder and cayenne) and use to season all sides of the frozen tilapia fillets
  • Add the fillets to the air fryer basket and spray with cooking spray (I use avocado oil)
    Cook at 400 degrees Fahrenheit for 15 minutes* (see notes)
  • While the tilapia is cooking, add the coleslaw mix, plain greek yogurt, salt and lime juice to a mixing bowl and toss to combine completely and set aside
  • When the tilapia is done (internal temp should be 145'F and the flesh should be white and flake easily with a fork) take out of the air fryer and flake into smaller portions
  • Put some of the slaw mixture (about 2 Tbls) on the bottom of each tortilla and then top with flaked fish
    Add toppings of choice and enjoy!

Serving size is for two tacos
*the cooking time will vary based on the thickness of the fish - if it is thinner, start with 12 minutes and check. If it is thicker, it may take up to 18/20 minutes but check at 15 (the internal temp should be 145'F and the flesh should be white and flake apart easily)
If you are using thawed tilapia, cooking time will be around 7/10 minutes, again varying based on thickness
**if you do not like plain greek yogurt (I used it to lighten up the recipe while adding protein) you can use mayo or sour cream as well
