Spicy Lettuce Wraps

Make your favorite restaurant style lettuce cups at home with this easy and delicious recipe, and don't forget the dipping sauce!

Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb Ground Beef
  • 1/2 lb Ground Pork
  • 2 cloves Garlic minced
  • 1 Tbls Ginger (fresh) minced or grated
  • 1 Jalapeno sliced
  • 1/4 cup Coconut Aminos
  • 2 Tbls Rice Wine Vinegar
  • 1 tsp Fish Sauce
  • 2 tsp Pepper Flakes
  • 1 Tbls Avocado Oil or oil of choice
  • 1 Tbls Sesame Oil
  • 1 cup Shredded Cabbage
  • 1/2 cup Shredded Carrot or matchsticks
  • 1 Tbls Toasted Sesame Seeds
  • 2 Tbls Green Onions

Dipping Sauce

  • 1/2 cup Coconut Aminos
  • 1/4 cup Rice Wine Vinegar
  • 1 Jalapeno sliced
  • 1 tsp Pepper Flakes
  • 1 tsp Garlic grated
  • 1 Tbls Ginger grated

Instructions

  • Heat avocado & sesame oil in a large skillet over medium heat and cook the beef and pork until mostly cooked through and then add in the cabbage and carrots
  • Mix the coconut aminos, rice wine vinegar, fish sauce, ginger and garlic together and pour into the meat mixture, cook for another 5 minutes and remove from heat 
  • Use the Bibb lettuce to make cups and place some of the mixture in each one. Top with sliced jalapeno, sesame seeds and green onions 

Dipping Sauce

  • Combine all the ingredients in a bowl and then place in 4 separate dipping cups
