This is not the first time that I have written a post like this. Talking about gaining weight and how I am trying to lose it again. I have been here many times before, but this has been one of the most difficult times. I am heavier than I have ever been. Ever. To say it is discouraging would be an understatement. But, here I am. Starting over, starting fresh and I am going to share my journey with you every Wednesday because I need the accountability and I hope I can encourage you too.
I lost over 60 lbs two years ago and had been doing so well but I have been struggling so much over the past 6-9 months. I have gained it all back plus some. I lost most of my weight with keto/low carb and Whole30. So that is what I am doing now mostly. My husband and I are eating low carb with limited dairy.
- We will be having Collagen Coffee every morning
- We have written out a workout schedule (we are going to the gym and doing T25 at home together)
- I am trying to drink at least a gallon of water a day (usually with lemon)
- I am cutting out sugar which is a big problem for me with food addiction/binge eating
I bought this swimsuit the other day (pictured above) at Sam’s Club because I loved it. It is a sporty one that I wanted to be able to wear while I played with my kids at the pool. It is a XXL and I thought for sure it would fit. I had such a difficult time after I tried this on. But I decided to keep it so I can take progress photos and one day wear it comfortably.
After all that I have been through during this health journey, I confidently know that my worth does not come from what size I am or the number on the scale. I have made tremendous progress in how I see myself and have experienced so much healing. It is just time for me to take care of my body again.
I will post updates every Wednesday on my progress, the ups and downs and everything in between. Currently, I am experiencing a raging headache from cutting out sugar. It is hard at first but it gets easier and I typically start to see an increase in energy 1-2 weeks in. I also post a lot of behind the scenes on my Instagram stories, you can follow me HERE.
