I’LL POST THESE STATS EVERY WEDNESDAY:
lbs Lost This Week – 2.2 lbs
TOTAL LOST – 11.1 LBS
First of all, I want to say that I went to bed at 8 with my daughter last night. I slept almost 11 hours and woke up feeling like a magical unicorn. It was amazing. I need to do the more often.
Second, I shared a post today on Instagram that really resonated with a lot of you and I am in tears reading all the responses and messages from you. I told one woman to celebrate every second that she runs, even if it is 45 seconds or 10 seconds. I am sticking to that advice with myself right now. I am celebrating every ounce that I lose, because it is moving in the right direction.
I lost 2.2 lbs this week and I am so happy with that, especially considering that I am still struggling with a lot of symptoms daily. I had a follow up appointment with my doctor yesterday to review my labs. I have an elevated levels of hemoglobin and hematocrit which indicate (to her) that I am not sleeping well. We both now that I probably have sleep apnea, but I can’t afford the sleep study at the moment. I need to research some sleep apnea tips.
My cholesterol levels are borderline too, which is a bummer. She asked if I wanted to start on a statin (medication) but I asked for some more time to lose weight and see if that helps. I am VERY deficient in Vitamin D so I am starting a prescription strength dose to bring that up. Lastly, she referred me to a GI doctor to address the stomach pain and bloating. She was concerned about my stomach and how it felt when she was pushing on it.
I have been telling you guys that I would share my current supplement routine. I just want to add that this is specific to me and my body. It might not be what’s best for you. I am working with my doctor and doing my own research to figure out what I need.
- High dose Vitamin D
- Turmeric Pills (for inflammation and gut health)
- BioHM Prebiotics and Probiotics + their Super Greens (use code THEBETTEREDBLONDIE to save 10% on my favorite brand) I do all three of these every day for gut health
- Natural Calm Magnesium ( I take this every night)
So many times in my life I have waited to do something until I was ‘skinny’ or at my ‘goal weight’
I would avoid the gym until I looked more fit.
I would tell myself that I could buy cute workout clothes when I was smaller.
I would constantly carry guilt, shame and opinions of others with me everywhere I went.
That is all wrong.
You can go to the gym at any weight and kick some ass
You can buy cute workout clothes at the size you are now
You can let go of the guilt, shame and opinions of others
You can lift heavy weights, it’s not just for men
You can run at any size, you don’t have to look a certain way first
Stop waiting to live your life, your goal weight doesn’t equal happiness.
You are setting yourself up for disappointment if you think that losing weight will automatically make you love yourself.
You have to work on that now. You have to learn to love and respect yourself now.
You can be happy and live a full life while you are working towards your goals.
You are worth it.
