Must Haves After Weight Loss Surgery

Hello Loves, I had weight loss surgery at then end of April of this year (2022), specifically a Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy. These are my must-haves that have helped me get through this journey. I have lost almost 70 lbs so far and feel better than I have in a very long time. If you want to read more about my story, I have a series of posts HERE.

Pill Organizer – after surgery, you are required to take a lot of vitamins and supplements that are vital in your journey. It can feel overwhelming to remember them and keep them organized, so I highly recommend a pill organizer. I set mine up at the beginning of each week to set myself up for success.

Good Water Bottle – staying hydrated throughout the day is a non-negotiable. It is so important and having the right water bottle is key. I personally use a straw, but always check with your surgeon first.

Food Scale – a good food scale helps you accurately track your macros, specifically your protein.

Good Scale – having a good, reliable scale is important for tracking your weight loss progress. This one connects to your phone and includes a lot of great data. It is highly rated on Amazon.

Measuring Cups – I use my measuring cups daily to help me stick to my portion sizes. They are great for measuring things like greek yogurt, cottage cheese and so much more.

Meal Prep Containers – I use these glass containers with the different compartments to meal prep my lunches for the week. I can grab it out of the fridge and can track the macros easily because I prepped it ahead of time.
