Friday Favorites: Springtime

Happy Friday, friends!

The week after a holiday can just feel so exhausting, am I right? We had a low-key Easter, but the kids have had a few days off of school, and we are full-swing into spring sports. Not to mention, Owen, my one-year-old, hasn’t been napping the greatest this week. So, I’m a tired mama with a lot of fun favorites to share this week. Grab your cup of coffee or tea, (Lord knows I’m on cup number two or three) and let’s get started.

spring at the silos

Abby and I finally got the chance to visit Waco, Texas together, which was something we had been dreaming of since we moved here! We did a girl’s getaway on a Friday, and had the best time. We have been Magnolia fans for so many years, and the trip truly did not disappoint.

We started the day by stopping at a local coffee shop for drinks and sandwiches before hitting the road for our two-hour drive. If you’re ever in Boyd, Texas be sure to check out Roast Me Coffee!

When we arrived at the Silos, we walked around to explore the beauty of the gardens and greenhouses. The flowers everywhere were so beautiful. Of course, we did a little shopping too. Everywhere you turned, there was something pretty to see, and literally everything is styled. Abby and I both snagged some fun things, she got a super cute shirt and a watercolor pad and I got a sketch book and a book on how to draw botanicals.

For lunch, we waited two hours to try Magnolia Table and it was so worth it. Abby got pancakes and I got a burger with chips. The food was delicious, but the best part is the atmosphere and the gorgeous restaurant.

spring salads

We went to a friend’s birthday party this weekend and they requested my Broccoli Cauliflower Salad. This recipe has been in my family since I was a little girl, and it is the perfect for this time of year. Pro-tip – double the recipe because it is always a hit!

Another springy salad I love is my Lemony Kale and Arugula Salad. Anything with lemon, gives me instant spring and summer vibes. This one is perfect paired with my air fryer chicken or salmon.

One of my favorite supplement brands is having a sale. I’ve talked about using collagen for several years now because it helps my overall health a lot – my joints, skin, hair, gut. For my current morning routine, I take Liquid Biocell (collagen), Trbiotic (pre, post and pro biotic), and Trim (CLA + collagen for weight loss support). I highly recommend taking quality supplements and these are the best, so grab them while they’re on sale .

You can get $10 off Trim collections + $10 off when you sign up as a new customer using my link. That is $20 off and you can stack even more savings at checkout. This sale only happens twice a year, so be sure to snag some while you can!

I’ve been having fun switching up my nails lately – this week was smiley faces. 🙂 When my nails are done, I just feel more put together. I use Red Aspen because it’s an easy way to get a lasting manicure, and the design choices are endless.

outdoor living

This week, I’ve been building our chicken coop. I can’t believe the girls will be in it soon – I hope they love it. I went with a gray and I’m really happy I did. I think it will look nice with the white exterior of our house. We are about a week away from introducing the chicks to it.

I also purchased two vertical, Greenstalk planters that I am so excited about. They are a super simple and popular way to grow strawberries, vegetables, herbs, and flowers. I haven’t planted in them yet, but will keep you updated.

Thank you for catching up with me – I hope you have a great weekend!
